What exactly are Chakras? How they work? How can they be worked? This article seeks to answer these and other issues key in relation to them, and give an overview of each of the chakras that make up the Kundalini Yoga Seven Chakra System. While books can be easily written on the subject of this paper will focus on providing the most important aspects of this profound science.
Chakras are the centerpiece of the model man power yoga. Chakra, which literally means wheel, is best thought of as a multi-dimensional Vortex Energy. For multidimensional I mean that a bridge Chakra through the multiple dimensions that comprise a human being. According to Yoga there are 4 bodies that constitute a complete human being. These are the physical characteristics physical, mental or astral body, mental body and finally the causal body. Chakras reside in the astral body, and serve as transformers of energy move between these various agencies.
The astral body can be considered an etheric double of the physical body. Through it runs a vast complex of channels (nadis) that transporting vital energy (prana, chi or life force). The quality and quantity of prana flowing through the nadis determines the health of the Chakras with reside there. The Chakras, as we mentioned are energy vortexes. That open and balanced this flow of prana. The chakras are located along the spine from the base to the top head and there are seven main chakras. Each of these Chakras govern the physical region where it is and, furthermore, are responsible for certain emotional and traits personality. Because they are properly activated and energized by the correct flow of prana, the corresponding physical regions are rejuvenated and emotions of a higher quality are embraced.
The seven Chakras and their main areas of influence, both physical and emotional are the following. The format is Chakra Name: Location: physical influence Primary: Primary Emotional / personality influences.
1. Mooladhara (Root) Chakra: Perineum: Excretory: Physical Security and fear
2. Swadhisthana (Sex) Chakra: base of the spine: sexual systems: Self-Expression and Creativity
3. Manipura (Naval) Chakra: Solar Plexus: Digestive Systems: Willpower and anger
4. Anahata (Heart) Chakra: Center of chest circulatory and respiratory systems: Love
5. Vishuddhi (Throat) Chakra: Throat: Auditory and voice systems: Communication
6. Ajna (3rd Eye): Center of head, directly in line with the center of the forehead: Eyes & Perception: Intuition
7. Sahasrara (Crown): Top of head: Brain and nervous system: Bliss
Now that we know what chakras are and what they do, lets see how we can work on them. The key to opening and balancing the chakras is to purify the Nadis of blockages and increase the flow of prana. This is accomplished through the use of Yoga and Pranayama. Yoga, Kundalini, or specifically Kriya Yoga and Pranayama are the essence of the science of Chakra activation. They are designed to systematically dissolve the debris collects and blocks the flow of energy through the nadis. When the flow increases, the chakras are opened and, over time, become optimally balanced. This leads to higher levels of awareness and consciousness – that is, which leads to a human being to reach their full potential.

Do you think it can be healed of illnesses per person by their hands? You may have read accounts of it in several religious books like the Bible. Everything is possible and these days, we are seeing more and more of these practices. A practical example is in Reiki healing.
If you've never heard of Reiki before, let me introduce you. Reiki is the ancient Japanese art of healing with hands, thinking, symbols and other techniques. It was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui, who was very intrigued when he read the Bible about how Jesus Christ could heal people when he put his hands on them. This led him to do your own research on the phenomenon. As a result, developed a set of beliefs, principles and techniques that today we know as Reiki. Reiki itself has evolved over the years due mainly to other practitioners of Dr. Usui to further develop skills. In the original teachings of Reiki, Dr. Usui had 3 levels of training. But today, not uncommon Reiki training levels are 7 or more.
How does Reiki work? As you can imagine, there is no correlation between Reiki and science Modern medical so there is no way to explain the methods of Reiki physiological or scientifically. But basically, Reiki centers on the principle that the body is a human energy field that gives it life and health. When this energy is interrupted or blocked, the body gets sick. This belief is also found in other treatments old as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese acupuncture. The role of the Reiki practitioner is to restore the flow of vital energy and thus heal the sick.
Reiki is able to achieve the same benefits as traditional massage. It can relieve pain, stress, increase energy, strengthen the immune system and improves the symptoms of disease acute and chronic conditions such as asthma and arthritis. You can also speed recovery from trauma and surgery.
Besides the benefits of physical healing Reiki, there are also emotional and mental benefits. You may experience emotional healing and mental wellness through Reiki. In Reiki, it is taught that the body has 7 energy centers called chakras. When these chakras are energy properly, improve the sense of security, pleasure, creativity, intuition focusing, among other things. It also produces a release of repressed negative emotions due to past experiences. All these lend themselves to emotional healing and mental stability. The result is that you will become a more balanced and stable and healthy person who knows how to relate to the world and people around you.
